  • Payment Information: Billing details processed securely through our payment provider
  • Device Information: Device type, operating system, unique device identifiers, and mobile network information

  • Call duration, frequency, and times
  • SMS message metadata (not content)
  • App usage patterns and feature interactions
  • Error logs and crash reports

2.3 Location Information

We may collect approximate location data to provide local phone numbers and comply with emergency calling regulations. We do not track your precise location.

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your data in the following circumstances:

6. Call Recording

6.1 What Is Call Recording

Call recording is an optional feature available to Pro plan subscribers. When enabled by the subscriber, both inbound and outbound calls made through Any Number Anywhere may be recorded. Subscribers can enable or disable this feature at any time from within the app settings.

6.2 Legal Basis

In the United Kingdom, call recording by businesses is permitted under the Telecommunications (Lawful Business Practice) (Interception of Communications) Regulations 2000, provided the recording is carried out for a legitimate business purpose such as quality monitoring, record-keeping, or compliance. Our lawful basis under UK GDPR is legitimate interests — specifically the subscriber's legitimate interest in maintaining accurate business records.

By making call recording available as an opt-in feature, we provide subscribers with a tool they may use in accordance with applicable law. Subscribers are responsible for ensuring their use of call recording complies with any applicable legal or regulatory requirements in their jurisdiction.

6.3 Storage and Retention

Call recordings are stored securely and encrypted at rest. Recordings are retained for up to 12 months from the date of the call, after which they are automatically deleted. Subscribers may delete individual recordings at any time from within the app.

6.4 Transcription and AI Analysis

Where the subscriber has also enabled AI Transcription and AI Summaries, call recordings may be processed by OpenAI to generate transcripts, summaries, and action items. This processing occurs only when both call recording and AI features are enabled by the subscriber.

7. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to provide our services and comply with legal obligations:

  • Call Logs: Retained for 12 months
  • SMS Messages: Retained until you delete them or close your account
  • Voicemails: Retained until you delete them
  • Account Data: Retained until you request account deletion
  • Billing Records: Retained for 7 years as required by law

8. Your Rights and Choices

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

Access and Portability

You can access your personal data through the app settings. You may request a copy of your data by contacting us.

Correction

You can update your account information directly in the app or by contacting us.

Deletion

You can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting support@anynumberanywhere.com. Some data may be retained as required by law.

Opt-Out

You can opt out of marketing communications. However, we will still send service-related notifications necessary for app functionality.

Contact Access

You can revoke contact access permissions through your device settings at any time.

9. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information:

  • End-to-end encryption for calls and messages where possible
  • Secure data storage with encryption at rest
  • HTTPS/TLS encryption for data in transit
  • Regular security audits and updates
  • Access controls and authentication requirements

However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Children's Privacy

Any Number Anywhere is not intended for children under 13 years of age (or 16 in the EU). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected information from a child, please contact us immediately.
